Becky Wright Pottery
MEET THE ARTIST
"I have always felt successful and happy in a creative environment, and it all started with making mud pies in the back yard as a child and having a blast getting messy. I spent my time playing, collecting eggs and helping around our little farm in Vassalboro, Maine. My mother was always incredibly supportive and encouraged me to work on craft projects, painting and coloring at the kitchen table. That love of creativity turned into a serious music passion at age 10 when I started to play clarinet. I was a talented solo clarinetist all through middle and high school, and always taking art classes at the same time. When the time for choosing a college major came, I chose art over music.
In college, I took ceramics and fell in love. Moving clay around with my hands felt familiar and brought a tremendous feeling of happiness. I found it very satisfying..."

Oak Tree Forge
MEET THE ARTIST: Greg Burns
"I didn't become a full-time blacksmith overnight. At first blacksmithing was simply a hobby, but within a few years I decided to take my passion for working with metal into a reality and full-time career. I was first introduced to metal work when I was younger, attending venues where you would typically find a blacksmith and would instantly gravitate towards those booths. Fast forward into my adult life, I didn't think much of the blacksmithing until I began my own small produce and livestock farm. Having had to repair many things around the farm and in my 1805 home, I decided to take up blacksmithing. I built my own coal forge and began teaching myself how to work the metal. Shortly after, I decided to take my craft to local venues which instantly made me realize that it was time to make my passion into a reality.

"Hi! My name's Jennifer and I'm the owner and creator of Jennifer's Handmade Soap! I've been asked many times how I got into making soap. It's not your typical story and if you'd asked me if I ever thought I'd be owner of my own business back in 2009 I'd have said no way! And I'd have been wrong! Here's my story..."

A Cut Above Design
MEET THE ARTIST
"We were founded in 2001 when I began collecting scraps of wood left over from various contracting projects and using them to create creative presentation platters. That was the first step towards A Cut Above. Soon I began laboring over more and more cutting boards, each one increasing in creativity and complexity. Most of my boards now incorporate “repurposed / recycled” hardwoods as well as numerous exotic species. From there, my passion for woodworking spread to the rest of the family." ~ Steve Strout

At Aud & El we believe that creating an environment, at home or on the go, that is soothing and calming should be a priority in all our lives. A peaceful physical space helps create a peaceful headspace. We live in a chaotic world, always rushing around trying to get things checked off of our to-do lists and that can lead to anxiety, depression, fatigue and other health problems. Our mind and spirit are the core of who we are and if we keep those healthy our body will follow. Self care is an essential part of life and we hope that our products can help you care for yourself in the way that you deserve.

Hathaway Ceramics
MEET THE ARTIST
"Each piece of my ceramics is individually hand crafted. On some, the glazes are the primary focus. Other pieces are decorated with imagery either using a lithography process, or hand painted brushwork. All are then fired in an electric kiln to approximately 2200 degrees F (Cone 6). The glazes used are all food safe and made in my studio.
I consider the work to be a "green" product. Solar panels on the roof provide all the electricity for our home and studio, including the kiln.
My hope is that the pieces you take home make every meal a celebration."
